Job Title: Senior Engineer/Staff Engineer, MacOS X & Cross-Platform

General Summary
This position is responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of cross-platform Slingbox client software, utilities, development tools and future company products targeting MacOS X in an environment which extends to Microsoft Windows as well.
Essential Responsibilities
- Directly participate in design and development of multimedia software products for MacOS X.
- Integration of various product components and maintenance of product release process.
- Regular status updates and communication with management.
- Collecting input and acting on communications with product development leads, product definitions team, and QA group.
- Team code review and maintenance.
- Insure that project source code follows company guidelines.
- Team members training and mentoring.
- Prepare and maintain project technical documentation following company guidelines.
Job Specifications/Requirements
- BS in Computer Science.
- At least 3 years experience in team software development with C++ and multi-threading programming.
- Solid knowledge of MacOS X Core Foundation, particularly CoreAudio and CoreVideo
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Win32 platform.
- Must have experienced development of a cross-platform product or component
- Strong multimedia background with the focus on streaming video and audio or networking.
- Excellent problem analysis and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
- Must be able to work within a team of professionals, both at Sling Media as well as with outside consultants.
- Ability to effectively present information to team members and management.
- Must possess the ability to analyze requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication, mentoring and teamwork skills.
- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate hands-on approach.
