Role Description & Responsibilities

Sling Media is looking for a top-notch Product Manager to join our high-performance team and help drive partner programs by customizing existing Sling products (spanning hardware and software) and services (enabling systems, support, reporting, etc.), orchestrating program launch, and continuing to enhance program offerings.

Product Customization & Development

  • Identify product customization needs for partner programs; define and prioritize product requirements in PRDs (product requirement documents)
  • Work closely with User Interface, Development, QA, Beta Program, and Partner teams as appropriate throughout development cycle
  • Develop, own, and drive product release schedules

Product Marketing & Program Management

  • Help define key product messages and pricing decisions for new partner offerings. Drive research efforts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Partner teams to drive product launch activities
  • Monitor key success metrics for your programs. Track and analyze reporting data; recommend improvements.
  • Maintain partner relationship from a product management perspective; proactively identify product enhancement opportunities

Professional Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of solid and increasing product management experience having managed at least one entire product development cycle from concept to market launch in consumer technology software products or services
  • Product/ user interface design experience highly desirable
  • Experience working with cellular or mobile hardware/ software/ services, consumer electronics, cable/ satellite operator services, and Internet technologies highly desirable
  • Technical astuteness is a must
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven project planning and prioritization skills
  • Partner/ account management experience highly desirable
  • Strong analytical competence along with ability to understand business issues and drive strategic decisions
  • Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently within a diverse, geographically-distributed, and multicultural environment, and with teams across all functions and management levels
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • BS/BA degree; MS/MA desirable
